The Greater Ohio Policy Center invites you to Columbus for its 2017 Summit, Investing in Ohio’s Future: Maximizing Growth in our Cities and Regions. The Summit will bring together experts, policymakers, and local leaders to explore best practices in financing and accelerating comprehensive and sustainable growth in communities throughout Ohio. This biennial convening is for anyone interested in the development and redevelopment of Ohio’s neighborhoods and metropolitan areas. 

The Summit will feature emerging models for community and metro prosperity, including new financing paradigms, creative partnerships, innovative practices and interventions, and promising policies. Topics to be highlighted in Summit sessions include:

•    strategies for revitalizing small and medium-sized legacy cities
•    funding possibilities for multimodal transportation, including transit
•    water and sewer infrastructure financing and cost-saving practices
•    capacity building partnerships in opportunity neighborhoods
•    brownfield site redevelopment
•    neighborhood and economic development case studies

Summit participants will include: civic, business, philanthropic, non-profit and political leaders, including bankers, developers, and practitioners from across the state.  Overall, the Summit will host dialogues and presentations about new tools and strategies that lay the foundation for building sustainable, prosperous communities and regions in Ohio.

Summit attendees may earn up to 8.5 American Institute of Certified Planners Certification Maintanence (AICP CM) credits.
